Entre les Chamois niortais, qu’il couvre en long, large et travers depuis deux ans pour La Nouvelle République, et le FC Nantes, qu’il aime passionnément, on peut dire qu’Elliott Bureau a l’habitude du folklore. Alors, quand l’opportunité lui a été donnée de réaliser sa première série pour Les Jours, une immersion sur l’île d’Hœdic, la plus lointaine des îles du Ponant, à la recherche d’une mystérieuse coutume festive dont il ne faut pas parler, il n’a pas hésité longtemps. Raconter de drôles d’histoires, ça lui parle ! Seulement heureux lorsqu’il est sur le terrain, au contact des gens et de l’événement, cet ancien cycliste de bon niveau aime sillonner l’Europe à la découverte des stades mythiques, de leur ambiance et de leur histoire. C’est donc tout logiquement qu’on devrait le retrouver au bord du pré pour la prochaine édition du tournoi de la Pince d’or, organisé tous les deux ans sur Hœdic.
